Cookie Policy

Last updated: May 12, 2026

This policy explains what cookies are, how we use them on InsideDB, and how you can control them. The short version: we only use essential cookies — no tracking, no ads, no third-party data sharing.

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and provide information to the site owners.

Cookies may be session cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent cookies (remain until they expire or you delete them). We only use session cookies.

2. Cookies We Use

3. Cookies We Do NOT Use

We explicitly do not use the following types of cookies:

  • Advertising / targeting cookies — we do not serve ads and do not track you across websites.
  • Analytics / tracking cookies — we do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party tracking scripts.
  • Social media cookies — we do not embed social media widgets or share buttons that set cookies.
  • Third-party cookies — all cookies are first-party, set by insidedb.ai only.

4. Third-Party Services

While we do not use third-party cookies, we use the following subprocessors that may process data on our behalf:

  • Hetzner (Germany) — hosting infrastructure for all platform services.
  • SendGrid (USA, EU data center option) — transactional email delivery.
  • Sentry (USA) — error monitoring (no user content, only stack traces and error metadata).
  • NowPayments — cryptocurrency payment processing (only when you make a purchase).

5. AI Provider Cookies (BYOK)

InsideDB's AI features use your own API keys (Bring Your Own Key). When you use AI nodes, chat, or the agent, API calls are made to OpenAI or Anthropic on your behalf. These providers may set their own cookies on their domains — no AI provider cookies are set on insidedb.ai. Refer to OpenAI's and Anthropic's respective privacy policies for their cookie practices.

6. How to Control Cookies

Most browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can:

  • View what cookies are stored on your device
  • Delete individual cookies or all cookies
  • Block all cookies (note: this will prevent login and use of InsideDB)

Because we only use essential authentication cookies, there is no cookie consent banner on InsideDB. Essential cookies necessary for the service to function are exempt from consent requirements under GDPR (ePrivacy Directive, Article 5(3)) and similar regulations.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
