Getting Started

Learn the basics of InsideDB — create your account, explore the dashboard, and understand the core concepts.

Create your account

Sign up at the registration page with your email and password. You'll receive a verification email — click the link to activate your account.

Tip: You can also sign up with Google or GitHub for faster onboarding.

Explore the Dashboard

After logging in, you'll land on the Dashboard. Here you can see your request usage and storage, manage API keys, and configure AI providers.

Understand the key concepts

InsideDB revolves around Workspaces. Each workspace has a visual Canvas where you place Nodes (search, extract, transform, AI, etc.) and connect them with Connections to build data pipelines. You execute the pipeline and get structured results. Nodes are the building blocks — each one performs a specific task like searching the web, extracting data from pages, or transforming results with AI. Connections define the data flow between nodes, passing output from one step as input to the next.

Navigate the app

Use the top navigation bar to switch between: Workspace (canvas), Data (manage workspaces & datasets), Pipelines, Activity log, and Resources (docs & tutorials). Settings and billing are in the top-right dropdown.

Tip: You need to be logged in to access the Dashboard, Workspace, Data, and other app pages. The links above will redirect you to the login page if you're not signed in.

AI features & usage

InsideDB includes AI-powered nodes (Transform, Classify, Analyze, Extract) plus AI Chat inside the workspace. These AI features run through your own OpenAI or Anthropic key. You can monitor request usage and storage on the Dashboard, and review plan limits on the Pricing page.

Bring Your Own Key (BYOK)

InsideDB uses your own OpenAI or Anthropic API key for AI features. Go to Settings → AI Keys, add your provider key, and AI node executions plus AI Chat will run on your own account. Your key is encrypted at rest and only used for your requests.

Tip: BYOK is available on every plan. InsideDB does not add separate platform AI charges on top of your provider usage.
